OUR MISSION
Free Spirited Wanderer Retreats have been created to provide a life-changing experience based on two main concepts:
1) To build Kula; intentional community, the feeling that life is best when shared.

2) The human desire to live a truly meaningful & fulfilling life.
Each retreat brings these two concepts alive as we travel to exceptional locations around the world and move through a variety of yoga classes, workshops, excursions, and community building; providing you with the self-exploration, adventure, connection and freedom your heart & soul seeks.
**CEU's available for yoga teachers on all retreats.
A NOTE FROM CAROLE
Founder of Free Spirited Wanderer;
Yoga & Wellness Retreats
I am so happy you're here; it is my honor to welcome you into our FSW Retreat community. I have been a student of yoga for 14 years and teaching for 10 years. I have trained in Nepal, India, Colorado, North Carolina, and virtually. I started leading Yoga & Wellness Retreats in 2017 (when Free Spirited Wanderer was born) to share my love of travel, culture, community, wellness and yoga with others. As of November 2024, I have had the privilege of leading 25 retreats; 12 within the U.S and 13 international, which has hosted 325+ participants.
My mission as a yoga teacher is to help more people take yoga off the mat and live it as it was intended, a lifestyle. My prayer for you is that these retreats help prepare you for your lifetime; providing you with a space to become the fullest expression of yourself so you can walk with purpose and live with love.

5 Reasons to Join an FSW Retreat
Community Building
At every FSW retreat, we embrace the yogic concept of KULA—intentional community where life is best shared. Our retreats foster deep connections, transformative practices, and lasting friendships in sacred spaces, empowering and uplifting each other.
Self-Reflection
While community is important, we also prioritize personal time. Through journaling, yoga, meditation, and relaxation, we provide a space for self-discovery, helping you reconnect with your authentic self and live a more purposeful, aligned life.
New Healthy Habits
Our retreats offer the perfect reset to help you develop healthier routines—better sleep, nutrition, physical strength, mental calm, and expanded comfort zones. Return home revitalized, ready to integrate these habits into daily life and embrace new joy.
Yoga Off The Mat
My mission is to help you take yoga off the mat and live it as a lifestyle. Through Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle Coaching, Ayurveda, and group discussions, we explore how to incorporate these teachings into everyday life for greater meaning and fulfillment.
Explore
The World
Each retreat location is carefully selected for its beauty, culture, and atmosphere—elements that have deeply shaped my own journey. Travel is a way of life that ignites our passion, and FSW retreats help you explore the world, check off your bucket list, and free your spirit!
GIVING BACK
As of June 1, 2023: 1% of all FSW Retreat proceeds are donated to Yoga For Recovery Foundation, a female founded non-profit based out of Charlotte, NC with a mission to provide yoga resources, education, and wellness opportunities to assist those impacted by oppression, acute stress, or trauma. Donations go directly towards scholarships and programming for folks to partake in yoga and mindfulness practices, workshops, and trainings to aid in their recovery.
